Emily Schaldach
Emily has been racing bikes since she was a spindly middle schooler. From being one of the few girls on her developmental bike team to successfully pushing races promoters for equal payout, she is used to blazing her own trail. She is a freelance writer and journalist, a professional cyclist, and a research assistant for the Nevada Center for Excellence in Disability. Drawing from her broad experience, Emily builds bridges and brings people together.
Emily is likely one of the sweetest people you will ever interact with somehow paired with a wildly driven and graciously competitive spirit. Her energy lights up rooms and kindles a sense of possibility in togetherness.
Emily‘s cycling career is marked by success when she is having fun. She finished 2nd in the Single Speed Cyclocross National Champs and 3rd in a spicy Grinduro field. She cracked a top 12 at Elite CX Nationals and finished her collegiate cycling career with 20+ collegiate gold medals including two Collegiate Omnium wins.

Johanne ALbrigtsen
Johanne is a graduate student at the University of Nevada, Reno. She is pursuing a Ph.D. in Hydrology and spends four months of the year in Denali National Park, Alaska. In the winter she travels by dog sled deep into the park to sample snow depths. In the summer, she travels by tiny plane, bike, and foot to the same sites to sample vegetation. Part of her Ph.D. program entails filming and sharing her research as a way to honor the land and the indigenous people who steward it, highlight queer women in field science, and bring attention to the rapidly changing environments in the subarctic. Again, super badass.
Johanne is known for meticulous planning. She’s ridiculously organized, has a scary good memory, and knows how to get the job done. She is tenacious, light-hearted, honest, and incredibly committed.
Her cycling career is marked by numerous collegiate National podiums, Enduro podiums, and many missions where bikes are a necessary vehicle. From traveling into the sub-arctic with 100 lbs of gear to finding joy in movement, Johanne radiates gratitude anytime she is lucky enough to be pedaling.
In 2023, Johanne will be racing a number of gravel events in the para category. Johanne was in an accident in 2019, leaving her with significantly limited mobility in her right foot. Thanks to the work of athletes like Meg Fisher, Johanne will jump back in to competing alongside other para athletes.

Dani Arman
Dani Arman lives in Los Angeles, and turns out, her spot is a cyclist’s dream. She rips up group rides, waves to the Hollywood sign, and has created the infamous CityCyclo - a cyclocross (ish) event that happens every few months in LA. There are hot dogs, watts, and lots of stairs.
Dani lives the ~work hard play hard~ mentality, working full time in tech and shredding her way onto podiums or turning heads as she rallies down sketchy trails on a cross bike. She’s a CX 30-34 Masters National Champ and has accumulated points on an international stage in UCI CX. Most recently, she’s integrated bikepacking and gravel racing to her quiver of cycling skills. We love her, she is somehow both rowdy and wholesome, competitive and deeply supportive. Dani coaches young athletes to podiums and is fondly known as Coach Dan.
